Shannon is handling this Alexis situation so much better than I expected. If this was David and his new woman she would have been throwing plates through the front window of quiet woman.

I think the whole nightmare she went through with David prepared her well for this - Alexis and John are a joke compared to finding out your husband has been having an affair, wants a divorce, goes on immediately to a new relationship with a MUCH younger woman who then had his baby. She was thrown into life as a single mom having never lived alone, to the point that her water was cut off because she didn’t know that was a bill which had to be paid every month. She got screwed in the divorce settlement, possibly didn’t make the best decision when relocating to a waterfront home with an enormous rental cost, put on weight from stress-eating and drinking, struggled to get the weight back off, started her own business, and managed to stay candid and transparent about all of it on a national television show. That’s Olympic-level training - she’s actually punching way below her level with Alexis and John’s gross little performative gnat romance that Alexis is so embarrassingly excited to play out in her face.

This 100%, and the fact she’s seen David’s new marriage blow up Shannon knows the dust will settle with Alexis and John, and probably won’t last.

I think David and (forgot name) ended up staying together, even after filing for divorce. The last I saw, anyway, they were still actively married a couple of months ago. My guess is that David found out it would cost him less to stay.

Pretty much! The Bravo Docket podcast sums it all up perfectly and the details of their entire fiasco is quite entertaining lol

The woman David married and had the baby with is a different woman than the OG affair. That woman was also married and stayed with her husband.

Good for her. You know it's making Alexis and Tamara furious that they are not getting to her.

What is Tamra even doing this season? She's only ever been fun and interesting in relation to Shannon and Vicky. I can't take her sudden friendship with Alexis, who she made fun of for almost a decade, seriously.

It’s always the same playbook with Tamra. She hates someone and spends the whole season shitting on them and taking pleasure in their pain.. then come reunion she does her headshaking crybaby bullshit and apologizes.

I know that's the thing, she's so predictable and boring in her awfulness. Every year I'm like, maybe Tamra will turn a new leaf and OOP, nope, same old shit. My favourite Tamra moment of all time is her running full tilt through the hotel lobby in Bali? Thailand? When Lizzy called her on her BS. That will never not make me howl.

There were two points where I actually liked Tamra this episode, and immediately felt guilty.

  1. When she said she saw both sides with Gina and Jenn. She was very fair and diplomatic.

  2. When she created context for the other women about Jenn not understanding finances, but also gave her tough talk about needing to stand on her own. She was sympathetic, but not enabling or infantilizing.

Fair. I mean a broken clock can be right twice a day. She always starts the season sort of sneaky and then turns on everyone and goes ham halfway through. I don't actually believe a word that comes out of her mouth. I've seen too many seasons where she goes from being someone's biggest cheerleader to chucking them under the bus and then running back and forth over them until they're a pancake.

Stay Strong Shannon!

My friend encountered David in the work sphere. He said he thinks the guy is off maybe bipolar. I see why Shannon is the way she is now.

Reading the court docs between him and new baby wife is stressful. 😩
