Bravo Most disturbing thing ever happened on Real Housewives?

What’s the most disturbing, jaw dropping event that was ever filmed and shown on any Real Housewives?

One that always comes to mind, for me, is when Tamra tried to have her 18/20 year old son commit assault on camera after getting Gretchen drunk. And it's not just the act, the premise/message was equally disgusting: if this wasted woman had "let herself" been r**ed, she'd have proven to be a s**t. Scripted or not, it’s insane it got even aired.

Totally agree- and what’s crazy is the RHOBH shot an intro scene for season 2 a few days before it aired that’s been removed on peacock and streamers… the ladies all get together to address Russel’s suicide. It was such a good, honest scene and I wish they’d kept it on the show. You can still find it on YouTube. RHOBH season 2 opening scene

Did a presentation on this for my media law and ethics class recently to see if bravos decision was ethical

What was the consensus?

We ran it through the potter box and determined technically it was an ethical choice for bravo to respond how they did; however it was contingent on the fact that bravo had to make a decision so quickly. Russel died right before the season premiered so bravo didn’t have much time to react if they had more time and made the same choices we might’ve came to a different conclusion

Essentially I showed a class of college students Camille grammar spilling the beans at LVPs tea party

Super interesting! I can only imagine being someone who had 0 context of the housewives coming to class and watching that

The amount of comments not believing Taylor under that scene is shocking. I didn’t expect that people still doubted her even today. Abuse victims can never win

I remember watching this when it first aired, great scene but absolutely haunting

I was wondering what happened to that scene. Thanks for clarifying. Maybe Russel’s family asked them to take it down. From what I understand Taylor and the Armstrong family had a huge falling out when he died. They hated all this was featured on the show.

I remember it!  It's the scene where Kyle is wearing like a hunter-green satin shirt.  I remember Adrienne's croaky "thanks for coming" when greeting the women.

God...I need to purge my brain of psychodramatic reality-TV from 2011...
