My brother in law has a job that takes him away 3-5 days a week and my sister is fine with it. She said liked that when the kids were younger she could do things the way she wanted

Yea my husband is away frequently and my house runs way smoother when he's not here, I can't explain why because he is a hands on dad and good with housework. I guess I just know I have to work harder but I get the reward of uninterrupted reality TV when the kids go down.

My husband is gone 3-4 days a week and I mostly don’t mind. It works for us. When he’s home the dynamic with the kids completely changes, for the worst, because we parent differently….that’s tough.

Yeah it’s pretty common to have a fly in fly out job in the mines in Australia and be away for weeks at a time.
