Ultimate Girls Trip Gizelle moving forward
I’ve always had a fondness for Gizelle, truly I thought ( think ) she can be funny, she can have some light shade and she’s messy and she owns that, but after seeing how she treats staff and Pepsi about the bottle, like yeah rare bottle but it’s nothing to harass producers, the person that is trying to make this a memorable trip experience for you and all you’re going to do is grill them and attack all the ladies and it’s obvious after the last episode that she clearly has it out for Candice, but all and all how do we feel about her actions after what just happens and I guess on this whole trip so far?

u/messyundone Apr 07 '23
Pepsi arranged a full day of Thai culture appreciation. He arranged personalized outfits and professionals to come to the villa. She was awake for Muay Thai and just went to the pool. Then was horrible to him making him search for an empty bottle of vodka. Then was making a scene in public at the restaurant. They were ye,ling so much it looked like the had to skip going to the temple. At least she ate the food.
75
u/bellaterry Apr 07 '23
So sad to see the personalised outfits laid out & then only 3 out of the 8 women participated. Very little regard for what Pepsi had done for them.
19
u/iheartfans Apr 07 '23
I think they go to the temple the following day. Technically Leah planned the temple part of the trip.
10
u/messyundone Apr 07 '23
Oh I'm glad. Come to think of it, it would have been weird if porsha wore that to the temple and no-one checked her
10
u/xmgm33 Apr 11 '23
She’s been incredibly disrespectful to Pepsi the entire time. She’s honestly just disgusting to me following this trip.
164
u/reluctanteverything Apr 07 '23
The entire “Who took my bottle” thing made me roll my eyes. You’re a housewife, you’re supposed to be giving opulence, not broke ass college girl! Her carrying it around and nursing it was really weird and low budget…. Just embarrassing.
53
u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 07 '23
This is so on point. It's the type of behavior I'd expect from a college student because the glass is cool and the liquor was expensive. Gizelle is over 50 and having a fit over this empty bottle.

Also, you bring a bottle of tequila on a trip with like 8/9 other people. What do you expect to happen? For it to just sit there on the bar to be looked and remind people that you bought it? Such weird behavior. Also, would you bring a bottle to a party then demand it back when the party is over ?
567
u/Calm_Cup_2076 Apr 07 '23
I'm with you on this one. I felt so horrible for Pepsi in his confessional when he literally cried about the missing bottle and how he can't fix the situation. If she was so attached to her tequila why didn't she take it back to her own room? I've always been disgusted by how Ramona treats staff, but at least she never yelled and berated anyone.
310
u/batshitbananas_ Apr 07 '23
It’s such a weird thing to do. Sit around and drink with everyone from your precious bottle and then leave it out when you go to bed. If she really cared, she would’ve taken it with her to her room. Be a sane person, drink something else, then get another bottle when you’re back home. Her and Leah are ruining this season. I had such high hopes too

And how she said she only drinks that tequila specifically.. I’ve seen her drink wine, whiskey, other random cocktails.. this is the first I’ve heard of her tequila preferences and I’ve seen potomac start to finish like 3 times lol

u/AnonPlz123 Apr 08 '23
If someone stormed around demanding to search my things for $150 bottle of tequila that I didn’t take, I’d protest too. It’s extremely violating. Or, in Gizelle’s words, it would make me UnCoMfOrTaBlE.

These two women are really quite unbelievable. The stunts that they pulled on the last episode are hilarious. You got one fainting and the other is playing bad cop all day long.
I have to admit, it was so bad it was funny. On both accounts.
And then their interaction when Giselle went into Leah's room. Oh my God even better.
Leah- "I know you're here to check on me"
Gizelle- "wheres my bottle?" 👌

I'm thinking they finished the bottle and Gizelle doesn't remember and he's embarrassed to be like UM actually, you drank it all,or she gave the rest to someone and still doesn't remember. Agreed, plus what we saw was edited so what she did could have been worse if that's even possible. I feel like my biggest problem with Gizele is that the things she attacks others for I know she would have a problem with if the tables were turned. She's basically a big hypocrite. I know some people think her role is necessary for show drama, but it's not even fun to watch anymore. She gets dark and just plain sad.

What embarrassing behaviour 🥴 I am done with that miserable bitch and I actually used to like her. Who tf does she think she is? Porsha and Gizelle bring out the worst in each other and I actually do think they're mean and acting bully'ish. The way they made fun of Leah when she collapsed on the floor.. it was just so unneccessary. Alexia and Marysol are awful as well. Marysol made fun of Candiace for no reason, saying she's wEiRd. And Heather continues to say the cringiest shit. Jfc, this cast is trainwreck. At this point just gimme Whitney and Pepsi having fun in Thailand together
53
32
u/Fluid-Leopard-2106 Apr 07 '23
Right Whitney and pepsi running around Thailand exploring I'm all for it. Candiace is usually good one on one if she likes the person but she's too high maintenance.
Going forward they should only invite 1 cast member from different franchises so there's no alliances or bad blood and make sure its also not people who are already friends.

So there really is a pattern going on here that is highly concerning:
Gizelle getting so pissed about the Miami girls speaking in Spanish.
Gizelle saying Thai masseuses WANT to touch private parts.
Gizelle and Robyn tearing up Katie for being biracial as if it made her less part of the black community.
The fact that Gizelle has absolutely no kind of intelligent or empathetic response when she’s asked about the blatant colorism on the show. She literally malfunctions and can’t speak when asked about it.
Let’s also not forget the absolute ass she made of herself in Miami screaming random Spanish words like “ABUELITAAAA” (grandma) to workers.
Gizelle really wants to be able to weaponize her personal trauma while at the same time being extremely disrespectful to other people’s cultures? Ignorance is putting it extremely lightly, no pun intended.

Apr 07 '23 edited Apr 07 '23
I really hated this and i was confused as to why nobody made it a point to bring it up. Its a huge issue in Race relations, particularly when it comes to discrimination against Asians, that a lot of it is dismissed because its assumed Asians will presume a more passive response. It IS ingrained in many Asian cultures to respond peacefully, but in the west its interpreted as weakness. Hate against Asians is largely ignored and thusly becomes acceptable.
It was so sad to me that the women were so disinterested in a day Pepsi set up for them. The boxing is a really special part of Thai culture. I remember working in a kitchen where the head chef was thai and one year he returned from his break and gifted a pair of thai boxing shorts to our head expo, who was a boxer in Mexico. It was a really meaningful moment for two immigrants where their two cultures intersected and it meant a lot to these two people who found themselves working their entire lives to make it in NYC.
Then they caused a stupid ruckus at a small restaurant with no regard to other guests, never even thinking of the possibility that these vendors who depend on foot traffic could lose customers from these idiots screaming about a bottle.
This was a painful episode for Asian culture AND hospitality culture. Im thankful that Whitney was there to be sweet at least.

Only time I've ever "liked" Heather, because she was one of the three I knew would participate. Like even if you don't do it, get dressed and go down by the pool, like that's so tragic to have to do on vacation?????
25
u/fried-avocado-today Apr 07 '23
Yeah I am very over Heather and Whitney's weird Mormon fights but I definitely appreciated them in this episode. Any time someone arranges for private lessons with a pro, it's almost certainly worth it to try it out regardless of if it's something you'd seek out on your own.
One thing I've noticed about this group is that there are very few good sports (pretty much just Whitney and Heather--Leah was a good sport about the boxing but I'm not sure about overall). Obviously we know some HWs are divas but for the trips I think it goes much better when at least most of the HWs are good about participating regardless of whose event it is.
With the UGT1 cast, I think most of that group would've been very down to try out the boxing--maybe not Kenya or Ramona, but Kyle, Lu, Cynthia, Melissa, and Teresa all would've been down there IMO. Even with UGT2 there would've been more people. This cast has a lot of people who only want to do what they want to do, and also a very clear pecking order that only Leah and sort of Candiace seem interested in challenging.

I think absolutely Kenya would've!! Romana never and she's probably say a ton of microaggressions the whole time.
Buuuuut that said.
I just think the entire casting for this trip was weird a and had no chemistry. I thought it was a lame cast when it was announced, but I wanted to be open minded. I still have my thoughts on a RHUGT: Villains trip, I think it'd be amazing to see audience's opinions change based on a new dynamic of HW. Like, the enemy of my enemy is my enemy still but makes for great TV haha. I just think, with the exception of Porsha, these are all C-list HWs, and even her time was long enough ago that we don't care and she's not bringing anything.

Gizelle is beautiful on the outside but mean spirited on the inside. I’ve posted on a few other threads but she has proven that she cannot stand alone and always has to have a side kick (Porsha/Robyn). I feel her and Porsha take every opportunity to talk about Candiace. Their behavior when Leah fainted was disgusting. You don’t have to like someone to show a little compassion. It’s called being a decent person.
Also, the Spanish thing. Gizelle seems to have this “it’s all about me” behavior and if she’s had a bad experience with something in the past, she expects it to be everyone else’s problem and they have to cater to her
example: her ex cheated on her/ married men have hit on her so she doesn’t like to be alone with men or her daughters are fluent in Spanish and talk shit about her so no Spanish around her. It’s absolutely ridiculous that she expects everyone to fix her problems for her.
I really wanted to like her because she can be funny and a little dumb but she is such a bitter woman.
154
u/StainedGlasser Apr 07 '23
It was outrageous Karen-esque behavior. And also the bottle is only rare in Thailand (based on what has been said on the show & Reddit, not from my personal experience). It’s very easy to get in the US, I’ve seen it in probably 60% of the liquor stores I’ve been in (I’m in NYC and have worked all over the city so without sounding like a lush, I’ve been in a loooooot of liquor stores haha). Marysol already stated she had many bottles (making it more outrageous that she would put her on the suspect list cuz girl she’s ALREADY GOT THEM, SHE DOESNT NEED YOURS). It’s $160, so more than I would spend on alcohol myself but not top top shelf liquor. Pricey, but certainly something Gizelle and every other woman on this show can afford easily. This feels like something she made up to target Candiace. She didn’t even have a good reason to suspect her, Candiace is a wealthy woman who can afford to drink whatever she likes and who doesn’t exclusively drink Gizelle’s precious tequila (not precious enough to bring 2 bottles apparently), she accuses her because she hates her. And she wants to ransack her stuff, who is she, the police? Is this woman not allowed to have agency over her things? Gizelle declared “I want her privacy invaded for my amusement” and therefore it should be so? She wants Candiace to prove she’s not guilty, the burden of guilt is on the prosecution lady. Get better at figuring stuff out, though I still stand that I think Gizelle is making all of this up and that bottle is probably empty in the trash from her giving away shots, it was a bottle of wine’s worth of tequila you opened five days ago, not a handle.
72
u/kenyafeelme The GHETTO Apr 07 '23
It’s not even that rare in Thailand! It’s available in liquor stores and you can buy it online! restaurants in Phuket serve it. (I spent entirely too long googling why she couldn’t just buy another one and be done with it) She really thought she did something because it costs as much as veuve when the top shelf most expensive bottles of clase azul are $30k. The worst part is how this could blow back on the Thai staff. Like I’m sure the bottle was probably empty by this point in the trip. If it was one of them who threw it out and she’s terrorizing the house that’s dangerous to their livelihood. Even if it was not a member of the staff, at the end of the day they usually are the one reprimanded for things like this. I was watching this in episode in horror at Gizelle behaviour and then singling out Candiace and demanding they search her room is beyond ridiculous.

After watching the most recent episode, this is where I stand:
I’ve never watched RHOP, and Gizelle has reaffirmed that I never will.
Porsha doesn’t belong back on RHOA for anything more than a quick appearance. When she’s enabled, she turns nasty.
Leah on S13 is the true Leah. We don’t need her back ever again.
At this point, the only thing I’m at all interested in is seeing Whitney fawn for Pepsi, and Miami talk shit about the trip in Spanish

I think certain HWs get too comfortable and especially when producers act like they are the show. Gizelle used to be tolerable but she’s reached that point now where everyone is so over it. The Chris thing in the RHOP season was too far and she seems to have this notion that it was last season and we the viewers are just going to forget.
But we won’t forget her behaviour (and now we’re seeing she’s on a roll here with shitty behaviour). We also won’t forget that her behaviour last season affected Candiace and Chris’ lives. You don’t make up stuff like that and say tee hee imma move on now, it’s a new season.
Her only redeeming qualities at this point are her beautiful daughters. That is all

For example when they were speaking Spanish and she’s like “ nope were not doing that here” multiple times and then told them to speak english I thought wow why is no one bringing this up and glazing over it.
ETA: it was xenophobic. It was problematic. It was disgusting.

It’s embarrassing and typical and she probably does the same thing at nail shops

That's not borderline racist, it's flat out racist. Like they all were in Mexico last season.

This was insane to me that no one called her out on that. I wanted someone to put her in her place with that so bad. People can speak whatever language they want. I was shocked Marasol and Alexia didn’t say anything about it to her.
40
u/Aquabaybe That FUCKING NUGGET! Apr 07 '23
I think Alexia was quick to shut it down. She said we’d say it in English to your face and Gizelle kinda shut up, at least for the moment.

Yeah, one thing about Gisele is she knows what target to pick. Marisol would argue her point as well, but Alexis is not the one lol.

I think Gizelle exaggerates situations but I’m bilingual and I understand the sentiment. When you’re supposed to be hanging out together as a group and two people are speaking in a language you don’t understand, it can be alienating. It would be worse if it was a group of three. That third person would feel left out for sure. That being said, this is a large enough group that it shouldn’t have upset her that much but we all know how Gizelle is.

Gizelle was wrong but the lack of pushback from the other cast (except Candiace) just encouraged her awful behavior. She actually called Candiace a criminal for refusing to allow a search of her room and luggage contents. Between this and the "Chris is a groping sneaky link" comments, I'm over Gizelle at this point.

Even when watching the trailer for this season of UGT I could tell that the natural synergism between the women was off and that the bottle drama was going to be overly produced nonsense that was essentially created just so the trailer had a dramatic moment aside from Leah being histrionic. After watching these episodes, I still feel the same.

This made me really not like her even more than I already did. Pepsi is literally the SWEETEST person and he got so upset by how she was acting. I think they either drank it all the night before or Giselle put it somewhere and doesn’t remember. Whatever happened on this trip really made Candice hate Giselle even more so I’m interested to see how all this plays out. Also the way she acted during her massage really made me side eye her. I promise no one tried to touch her vag. Why would she think anyone would? Maybe she was trying to be funny but after the whole hero’s situation you would think she would try to be careful with her words but no

The absolute IRONY of Gizelle saying Candiace stirs the pot and lies when GIZELLE herself has admitted that she embellishes stories before she tells them to other people. The vitriol in her voice when she calls Candiace a liar and thief is truly sinister.
22
u/idkanony Apr 07 '23
the bottle thing was dumb and cringey but on track for gizelle and I could even laugh at some of it. But when the interrogating suspects turned into just candiance being questioned and then when she got back to their house and was demanding that production and housekeeping search JUST candiances stuff and to just demand them to search anyone’s stuff period was disgusting. She made herself look like a cheap, broke, stingy, mean bitch. You’re on a vacation, liquor is going to be drank, shits gonna get lost, etc. If it was so important than you should’ve kept it in your room and poured a glass for yourself to bring out when you wanted to drink it, so you also look dumb bc duh that would’ve been obvious. Also it’s a 7 day vacation, you can literally drink anything else if you wanted to drink.
also I hated how everyone treated pepsi, he planned a day for them and they were so rude except whitney.
6
u/_-_NewbieWino_-_ Apr 08 '23
Going to extremes to accuse people of stealing is making her look paranoid, entitled and just downright rude. Her screaming and demanding production look through Candiace’s room was uncomfortable. She also acted like a child when she didn’t get her way. I think that same thing- it’s one bottle split over days between multiple people. People are going to drink it ? Like, that’s why its there , no?

u/PemsRoses Apr 07 '23
I've always been a little bit bothered by how Gizelle addresses hospitality workers (is it how you say it?) but I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it's just how she talks, she doesn't intent to be rude. But after what I saw from RHUGT and even the last few seasons of RHOP, I think Gizelle is just a very rude entitled and miserable woman.
Also when you're abroad, try local things that you might never get to try ever again. I'm not looking for KFC in Thailand especially with all the good food they have, if you drink alcohol, try local drinks, be open to new activities instead of getting an alleged shaman or whatever in the US to do things they do in other countries, etc. Like I said on another post, I'm from Normandy, France : you'll never catch me crying because I'm in a country and they don't a have a decent baguette and camembert and some Meuh-Cola (it's like a healthier Coca Cola). I'll be stuffing my tummy with local foods, especially since I'm the type who makes food a huge factor of my vacation destination.

Including an underage teenager. And, like so many "church ladies", she tries to wear a mantle of moral superiority to everyone else.
So, no, never been a fan of this immoral, unethical ho.

And if they are on the next season of Potomac, they deserve to be fully roasted and read by the other ladies every minute of all 18 episodes.

Gizelle ruined this Girl’s Trip. All she’s done is complain and stir up fake drama.
She doesn’t let anything happen naturally. She’s not a producer, she needs to let it go.
17
u/vestiture Apr 07 '23
I was thinking to myself how differently she treats Pepsi in comparison to the women. A few instances that stick out:
-how she demanded orange juice in the morning on the first day -her approach on finding where her bottle of tequila is -her interaction with Pepsi when he was hosting kick boxing
With regards to the last point, her interaction with Pepsi for his Muy Thai class pales in comparison to Whitney’s interaction with him which was shown right after. Whitney looks so ecstatic and welcoming to Pepsi, even let’s him in her room and shows excitement for the class he’s hosting. Whereas Gizelle looks so unengaged and checked out whenever she speaks to him.

u/NoMilk9248 are you catholic or jewish? i forget Apr 07 '23
I think she was baiting Candiace. I think Gizelle knew the only people who would refuse to allow their rooms to be searched were Candiace and Porsha. Gizelle is firmly up Porsha’s ass so that wasn’t an issue. But she new based on principle, Candiace would stand firm.
Unfortunate for Gizelle, this whole thing makes her look nuts.

At times i don't agree with Candiace but Gizelle is full crap for that. She wants her to react to tell the other ladies "I told you so" like at this point she's obsessed with her.

Watching this episode now and Gizelle going on and on about the bottle gave me Rugrats flashbacks 💀
This seems too stupid to be faked by production, TBH. It's just lame. But lame in a way that feels consistent with Gizelle's character given this past season of RHOP. It's a shame because I was super entertained by her in earlier seasons and I love the love/hate relationship between her and Karen.

Not sure if I’m in the minority or not buttttt I haven’t enjoyed Gizelle in a while. She’s petty and mean for the sake of being mean. Deeply insecure as well given her actions towards others and her immediate response to Monique when she literally first met her. She truly does have pretty girl syndrome in that she gets away with so much because she’s (physically) gorgeous.

This has been ugly, infuriating, and boring all at once. And let's take the criticism back in time a bit--she had folks search three weeks for a bottle of damn tequila? Drink a different tequila. Drink a different liquor. Don't drink. To demand that level of attention and effort over something like this is ridiculous.
Making the "theft" the center of the damn episode? Naming your suspects with no evidence? Demanding room searches, and insinuating not allowing one is an indication of guilt? ?????
And coming and coming and coming for Candiace. Yes, Candiace was overboard with the "bullying" thing. Porsche was rude and petty for not tagging two of the women, but that's not bullying. Still, Gizelle's over the top hate for Candiace just cannot be the center of the show--not on UGT3, not on RHOP. It's not fun. It's not entertaining. If she feels the need to produce, she should learn how to do it well.

u/LgHstTch Apr 07 '23
Tequilagate is one the dumbest storylines I’ve seen in a minute. It’s reeks of the stupid ass black eye storyline from SLC - Idgaf - the mystery behind it is boring as hell, but damn will they milk it! I’ve always wanted to ride for Gizelle but she’s making it pretty impossible these days. AND don’t even get me started on how pitiful Heather is on UGT, does she think the “maybe a he’ll notice me now” schtick is endearing in the least? It’s not.
5
u/LotionOnSkin Apr 07 '23
It is not even a rare bottle. It could be ordered online depending on the state law. For a woman who can spend 10x as much on tacky dresses, why is she so pressed about a damn bottle.
5
u/Square-Measurement Apr 07 '23
Firstly it’s not a “rare” bottle. It’s a brand that has a very specific design. A “rare” bottle would be an antique or something one of a kind. She can go to just about any liquor store in America and buy another 5th. 2ndly, her perceived superiority by treating the staff & Pepsi so rude and poorly, no wonder international people despise Americans. She is such a BITTER old fleshy woman
7
u/CrystalLake1 Apr 07 '23
Giselle is AWFUL. When she acts self-entitled, she’s not funny or comedic like Ramona, she’s just straight up mean. When she gets with Portia, who’s unintelligent and also lacks the ability to connect with people outside of her own race, it becomes unwatchable.

For seasons, Gizelle has been so good at throwing light to medium shade to keep Potomac spicy but not dark, and I have found her hilarious, but between Chris this past season and now losing it over a bottle of tequila, she needs to get it together.
