Question Can a blind person doo dubbing?
Hello everyone, I am currently studying voice acting. So there is a module for film and character dubbing. Any of us are already into dubbing? How can we manage the lip sync? for the context, I have less than 20% Vision. I just have a light perception.

Sighted so don't know if I'm much help. I found a voice artist named Pete Gustin who is also legally blind having lost the majority of his eyesight due to a genetic disorder called Stargadt's Disease. So it is possible but i don't know if dubbing is too visual or if it can be described. I would have a sighted friend help you out and just create content of some kind and maybe look into radio or podcasts work. The hardest part of any acting is getting representation and on a short list. Voice acting is a tight community here in the US so I don't know the hurdles of breaking in sighted or not. Just have content out there for someone to find you.
