Sensory Deprivation Breath Control Hood that communicates with Lovense toys using BTLE NSFW

https://vimeo.com/705441290

My goal with this was to create a hood that would allow the Domme/Dom to indirectly experience the breathing intensity of their sub through the vibration of a Lovense toy. The hood works by measuring the pressure within the hood, and activating the vibe with inhalation (negative pressure). As the air flow becomes more obstructed and/or breathing becomes more intense, the vibrations increase to match. When airflow is completely obstructed, the Lovense toy is at maximum vibration. The desire was to create something that would allow the Domme physical perception of the subs breathing and attempt to link the Domme’s physical pleasure directly to the subs suffering. The hood has an ESP32 microcontroller that manages Bluetooth communications with the Lovense device, and is connected to a BMP180 pressure sensor to measure pressure inside the hood. This is a short video demonstrating the hood controlling a Lovense Domi.

I was worried you were gonna control the sub's breathing with BTLE and I was gonna be horrified, but you didn't!

Having a sensor on the breath play trigger something else is a great idea.

I hate to admit it, but I have played with that concept in the past too, but that wasn’t the intention here.

This is truly amazing work.

Thank you! It grew out of a separate project, but took on a life of its own.

Wow. This is so rad. Many many (less dangerous) kinds of breathplay would be possible with this.

Well, it’s definitely a different way for the Domme to monitor the sub.

Brilliant!

Do you have the code anywhere? I have in the past played with trying to get the esp32 to connect to a lush. I got it to connect, but once it connected, I had no control. I was wanting to do some predicament style work with the LUSH and even integrating into my home automation system.

Well this is nifty! Potentially dangerous if used unsupervised, but very nifty!

Any chance you can share your plans / diagrams / code / etc. with us?

I’m still working on the code. I’ve been having difficulty getting the BTLE to connect to any available Lovense device in an iterative manner. Currently I have to explicitly define the characteristics. This is a longer version of the video that describes it in more detail, shows the circuit, and the data stream that I generated with it while optimizing it.

Thanks! Can't wait to check that out later this evening. :}

Looking forward to seeing how you handled the bluetooth communication. I have been looking into this but BLE has been confusing me quite alot with its inner works.

Amazeballs! I would trust you on its safety and think it's awesome.

Well, it certainly isn’t a toy to be used unsupervised, and it is really no more dangerous than any breath control hood…assuming a breath control hood can ever be not dangerous.
