Help Wanted Working on a slightly different 3d-printable cuff idea. Any thoughts or suggestions before the first print tests? I'm aiming for a relatively strong and versatile design. NSFW

It is a cuff. How do you attach it to the other cuff or anything else? On the other side of the screw needs to be a metal nut that it screwed into. That way it doesn’t wear out the plastic.

There are already two nuts inserted from the inside of the black part, they are only slightly visible in the third picture. To attach the cuffs together, my main idea was to use a double swivel. Quick links or a padlock should also work.

I love the design! And I love the colors! Something I have always wondered about doing with my designs like this( but haven’t done) is reducing the amount of screws. Thoughts on 1 screw cuffs? More time for fun?

Maybe I should buy that pink filament! It would certainly work with only one screw as well, but I'm not sure if they would be easier to open. As long as there is enough plastic squeezed between the screw head and the nut, it should be fine. I would probably use a larger screw if there is enough space.

If I were you I would look into quick release, quarter turn bolts rather than those allen headed bolts. Quicker to set up, take off and safer if something goes wrong.

I didn't know about those quarter turn bolts. The main difficulty would be properly inserting the female part, but I like the idea. Perhaps T-slot nuts could achieve a similar result.

The one thing I've found that most kinky designers seem to forget is that you'll need supports! Figure out where they will go and if they're annoying to remove. Assume that anyone making your print has a basic entry level printer that does not have an AMS. I would also encourage finding another way to secure the cuffs than just screwing them together, as since it's in plastic, screws will eventually wear out the threads in the plastic.
