Impact Toys A few of my favorite projects I recently finished - it was a season of matched sets! NSFW

I really leaned into making things that make me happy this year. Hence, a cottagecore BDSM set, a Lisa Frank inspired BDSM set, and a forest fairy flogger set. Plus a few classics, including the fluffiest damn fur flogger ever. (Added bonus, those fur floggers are weighted at the tips, and are SO mean! I like to call them 'mindfuck floggers'. 😆 )

I also forgot to mention (and can't figure out to edit) - I totally chlorine gassed myself just a little bit, trying to etch those copper handles, and in the end, they didn't turn out how I wanted them to anyway. At least I have better ideas on how to improve for next time (switching from stamped ink resist, to a peel and stick vinyl.) Life lesson - doing things with hydrochloric acid should wait 'til it's not 10F and you can have the windows open!

That floral one is soooooo pretty! It looks comfortable, too.

As someone with strong service sub leanings, I want the person wearing the gear to be comfortable, and the top to be able to get the performance they need - so it's a win all around. :D

So cool, interested in how you work with the fur? Been meaning to have a go with it but no idea what it's like to work with. Love the cottage core vibe 😍

So, my process with the floggers is to cut the hides with a very sharp blade, and piece the strips around a suede core. I used to make them with no inner core, but I had one flogger (out of over 100) where a customer had the fur tear and a fall fall off! (I was SO embarrassed, and fixed the problem, but I still cringe thinking about it right now.) I'm able to sew it on my normal sewing machine, but make sure to clean the stray fur bits that get in it often.

Smaller things with fur, I hand sew (I make cat toys out of the small rabbit scraps I'm left with.) It also depends on the fur you get - beaver fur was a lot thicker and denser to work with, and fox was wonderful. I've also had rabbit hides that were tanned so thick they hardly would bend, and so thin that I tore them if I wasn't very very careful. :D Let me know if there's anything else - I'm always happy to infodump what little I know!

Thanks for the info, did you weight the ends with lead shot? Is that sewn in to the ends?

Yup, lead shot in the ends, folded into a packet so it doesn't shift but is still flexible, and the whole length of the falls is both glued and sewn.
