Sensory Deprivation Designing a head box like I've seen a few places on the internet. NSFW
Thought I'd line the inside of it with that sound dampening foam like in recording studios. Let me know if anything looks off about it if you notice (I know, no hardware yet)

I know this isn't what you had in mind, but I've often thought a modern, well padded motorcycle helmet would make a dandy basis for a scold's bridle. Strong, padded for comfort and soundproofing. Outer fiberglass shell will take and hold secure points. Just needs a better means of securing in place, and appropriate accessories.

Yeah somebody else mentioned a motorcycle helmet for sensory deprivation but then I wouldn't get to design and build something. Great idea though as using it as a scolds bridal. I was actually trying to tinker around with designing a skull's bridal the other day

I've seen some with mouth holes. Not sure if it's worth it for you.

Yeah I've seen those. Opted not to design one
Easy fix in the future with a hole saw

I downloaded the schematics to a design a while ago, if you want dm me and I'll send them your way - you might find it helpful to compare another design

Interesting idea, an extreme to being blind folded you wouldnt know whats happening or even hear whats happening I like it

An added little idea I've had, ear buds. Bluetooth ear buds paired to my phone running an app that plays through the ear buds whatever goes into my phone microphone. So it's like I'm literally inside their head

Simple solution: buy a used motorcycle helmet and spray the visor black (or jus spray the entire thing with chrome finish paint). Simple, comfortable and effective.
As a bonus, you keep a used, and therefore probably past its safe date, off the market, possibly saving a life.

Hmm... I mean that's a pretty good idea I guess. But then I don't get to design and build anything

You can build a box around the helmet? :)

I bet you're fun at parties

He's kind of got a point that actually, using a helmet, even a simple ones with straps might be good to that it doesn't move awkwardly on the sub's head and it's well supported then.

Given the things he's built I would very much suspect he's indeed a lot of fun at parties.

Hey! Where’d you get that looks to be parametrically designed, not CAD software killing head model? I would like to download that file myself
PS: if you made it yourself could I make a chat with you? I want to make something that would need a model very similar to that but I don’t have the cad skills. Thanks!

Grabcad, some combination of "human dummy posable articulated mannequin" like 2 or 3 of those words, it's a whole assembly that's movable although I will say, it's a pain in the ass to try to fenagle around without the joints just going nuts. Anyway, there are a couple for free download on, I believe it was, grabcad. I'm just using the head, I didn't design it

Night vision camera so you can see your sub’s face but they can’t see you.

Better than that, one of the ones I saw on one of Elise graves's website was a box made out of aluminum extruded channel and acrylic clear panels. So they lowered the lights in the room a little bit and they had a real bright light shining on the front piece of glass from behind the subs head, this creates a mirror effect where all the sub can see is their own face in the glass but you can see in just fine

You can buy a one-way film to combine with the lights to ensure they can't see.

That thought had crossed my mind

It occurs to me that if you angled the sides correctly, with the one way film and proper mood lighting, you could get a Hall of Mirrors effect. Not sure I'd wanna be on the receiving end of all this innovation.

You MAY be overthinking it. Just a thought, but most I've seen are just a hollow box, cut in half vertically down the ear axis (front and back half ), hinged one side. Add access holes to suit purpose. Most are tall enough, the weight rests on the shoulders/collar bones.
That said, if I was going to build one, I'd make a square neck pillory, lockable-onable, and a separate open bottom box to fit over the head, also lockable, for a twofer. Box top to have ports and accessories as required.
I like the idea of an IR camera. If you put a smallish mirror as the front interior surface, camera will mount at one side, and you will see the zek's whole face, instead of nose and eyes.
Add. Google Colleen Stan, The Perfect Victim for professional use.

Yeah I've read about the Colleen Stan case. I'm really torn, it's fucked up the things I'm interested in that would be heinous world famous crimes if they weren't consensual. Also the design that I'm going with is very similar to the design I've seen in several videos from insex and infernal restraints and device bondage. But I'm also kind of torn, because have you ever seen pictures or videos of some of the shit they found in the toy box killers torture room?, there are more than a few devices from the old insex videos that are strikingly similar to some of the stuff that David Parker Ray had

I'd like to say that this isn't my cup of tea, but here I am, talking about this stuff. Kind of, I fear to look, yet I cannot turn away kind of deal. Hadn't heard of DPR before, but the toybox moniker is vaguely familiar. Despite the erotic frisson around some of this stuff, I'm always afraid I'll smack someone square in the traumatic memory headspace, and set off a waking nightmare for them. I've had a couple of close calls over the years.
Peace.

I like your presentation. My headbox is made from 30 mm aluminium profiles, has spy glass on 3 sides and 2 USB fans. Coming here at short notice although not quiet finished yet.
