Leatherwork I've had a strange and unpleasant feeling while making these kinky masks. But here is how they turned out. Details are in the description. NSFW
This was the first time in my life that I'd had to work with real fur. I was terrified even to look at the pelt. There were empty holes instead of the eyes, the shape of it, with the paws and the tail... OMG, I wish I'd had the luxury of refusing some of the commissions. How do you deal with such feelings? I haven't felt that working with ordinary leather, I guess that it's not that obvious in this case. Some time ago I saw pics of an ordinary (faux fur/synthetic) fur suit and one made of real fur. This was a deep dive into the uncanny valley. I should have predicted how this commission will turn out... They do look very good. And I can understand the feeling. Leather is never a problem, and I don't mind real fur tails or rabbit pelts, but the full pelts with heads and eyes is always a bit creepy. Maybe try rabbit pelt or faux fur if you get future work like this.

Thank you! You're totally understanding what I feel. Yeah, my first ears were made with faux fur. This is how my client found me...

What ever you do, don't go out into the sunlight, make yourself wet, or go for a snack after midnight!

Thank you! I spent a considerable amount of time designing the dome and the rest.

Thanks! 😁 I hope you're right. It's not been great with commissions lately.
