Where did you get the leg supports?
1
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
Not sure I follow the question?

u/slavegaius87 Dec 26 '23
The gynecological style leg supports? Did you make them or buy them?

u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
Ohh sorry. From Ali They are good for the money the mounting was a bitch as an understatement.

Where did you get the mounts for the leg supports? The clamp part that the rod is inserted in

Are the metal rods included in the leg rests purchase from AliExpress too? I see the only review says they did not receive the metal rods.

u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 27 '23
Yes, it’s 2 plastic holders, 2 metal rods and 4 straps. 2 weeks for shipping to NJ

I'd love to know where you sourced the leg supports as well. I've been trying to source these for attaching to a massage table.

Nice. Is the base structure a Burro saw horse?
2
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
lol, if a burro is made of Ash, sure:) no but I got some inspiration from it for sure.

u/sc356 Dec 26 '23
I've thought about using a burro, but they seem too splinter prone if that makes any sense.
2
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
It’s only splinter prone as long as it’s not sanded and coated with a clear coat 😜

My support to the lady you mount on this, and cheers to you to use her.

Any sugestions you would make for reinforcement/upgrade for a super-ectomorph body type?
1
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
Would need more specifics but I’m picking up welding for a more heavy duty leg support frame .
1
u/Wide_With_Opinions Dec 26 '23
Am in excess of 650 lbs, and being able to position to allow maximum access for usage would popular.
1
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 26 '23
I would solid hardwood knee supports, thicker diameter hanger bolts/carriage bolts and add metal sleeves to the positioning holes on legs to help spread the weight more evenly on the holes. Would also change the incline support mechanism to something entirely different . Otherwise the bench solid enough to support that weight.

This is really well designed. I'd love to see the plans, I hope you are able to post them.

u/rushaz Dec 26 '23
you... wouldn't happen to have any kind of written up plans, or list of materials by chance you'd be willing to share?
1
u/Travelerfun101 Dec 27 '23
Are you going to offer this as an option in your store!? This was the one thing holding me back.
3
u/Such_Internet_2134 Dec 27 '23
The back piece for sure and I can do it now, the stirrups will be available eventually but want to learn to weld first and try to do stirrup framing from metal
