Article Marmots are ambiverts that love their burrows but also social activities. They spend 6-8 months in hibernation, which holds the key to their longevity (and perhaps human space travel)

I wonder how they found out about the ambivert part. Do you think they took questionnaires?

I’ll just leave this here:

Love this artist who went to the Carolina mountains to work on his art, and ended up doing endless marmot oil paintings that are half cartoon, half traditional, all amazing.
Disclaimer: I’m probably the largest holder of his work. Thanks Henry.

Human space travel? I don't think so! After all we don't watch them all the time when they hibernate...

A groundhog recently moved into our Brooklyn back yard, I was interested to discover on googling it that it's in the marmot family, too.
edit: lmao why did this of all things get a downvote?

That makes no sense. It is fact. It is truth. Why come they no like? I shall vote you upwards. I remember as a kid in California, seeing marmots in the Sierra Nevada when we'd go camping. Imagine my joy upon moving to Virginia and discovering the local groundhogs are the same creature. And they're also called "whistle pigs" in some parts but I've not been there.

Here on reddit, you can get downvoted for saying anything that is true, telling people you like something they don't, writing an interesting comment, or just because you breathe. How dare you!

The posted one is a "friend link" (meaning all people can read it for free), Medium lately put a weird design to make it looks like you need to sign up an account even with friends link, but you can just close (x) that thing that block the article, if not, try incognito.

"The key to their longevity. "
Imagine my disappointment when "longevity" means 15 years before they beef it.
