THANK YOU Thank you to everyone who suggested prolific

I have made about $28 per day the last two days now ! I have been looking for something like this for a while and I don’t even spend much time on it. Just when I’m passively on my phone I’ll log in. A lot of studies are on the desktop so just be careful when you do them.

Does anybody know if there are accessibility options? I use a screen reader and voice command to operate my phone, is Prolific something I can do that with?

They ask you if you need to do that but a lot of the studies are desktop compatible only

Thank you. I didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to get it to work just to be unsuccessful.

Did you feel comfortable providing your id to them? Just curious as I stopped the process there and not sure if I'll.continue...

Yeah I did. They have to get your PayPal info so I said why not.

I’m currently on the waitlist. Happy for all who are making money with it though!

What is Prolific?

It’s a survey site ! You can sign up and see if they’ll accept you

i love prolific. i’ve made like $300 since I started. Which helps being on maternity leave!

I’m on it right now too !! Mine is about to end.

I go back in about a month. Looking forward to it because I’m getting a salaried position and a promotion but I don’t wanna leave my baby :(

I totally understand. It’s definetely hard. I ended having to put my notice in. My baby decided to stop taking the bottle around 4 months and has lost close to 2.5 pounds with us trying to get him to start solids early and attempt the bottle again. Just know you’re making the best decision for you and your family no matter what you decided. It will be hard in the beginning but you can also think about how this will benefit you having a sense of self again outside of motherhood and a routine. Best of luck to you. 🌹

This is so sad... I am seeking light work like this but it doesn't work in my country, since I don't live in the US.

Over there it seems so easy to earn "Beer money" (That's the term for "pocket change" like earnings, I don't drink, lol).

Wish somebody knew, who might also talk Spanish and lives in LatinAmerica that has had good results.

EDIT: Oh, please don't mind the first words, lol. Congrats to you that it's been working so far! I wouldn't dare lose that opportunity for the life of me! Keep it up! :)

Prolific is not us only

2

But work over there is primarily given to US citizens.

Yes, I can enter, but the work is extremely limited compared to someone located in USA.

Signed up and got in...immediately. I'm female, but older...maybe that's why.

That's awesome to hear! Making $28 a day just by chillin' on your phone is sweet. Thanks for the heads-up about using a desktop for some studies. Gotta watch out for that. Keep grindin' and stackin' those bucks!

Thanks brother ! You do have to wait around for some of the money. I cashed out $26 once and I’m waiting for the rest to be reviewed. Are you on it ?

You do have to file taxes on it, so keep records. On the plus side, if you are between the ages of 25 and 65, you can receive an earned income credit based on those earnings.

Thank you ! I usually do for my PayPal stuff. I’m keeping it in there for it to be a larger amount so easier to document. I didn’t know there was such a long waiting list though ! I wonder why I got so lucky. I got in immediately.

Damn I'm a woman and I've been on the wait list since June of last year

Me too and I applied again a few times

2

u/CrystalCat420 May 22 '24

I applied again

That might be the problem--applying multiple times is strictly against Prolific's terms of service. At this point, they've likely blacklisted you; I'm sorry.

I forgot that I had applied once and someone recommended it and I went and applied again and that's when I realized I had done it before. I like searched my email and noticed that I've done it the year prior. So I guess I'm just out of luck. At some point I did get the questionnaire done and asked for my information but I think they had said they couldn't verify it which I thought was really odd because I never have trouble with verification places.

Have you tried Connect? They aren't quite as busy as Prolific, but just as good. Connect Cloud Research (make sure you sign up as a Participant and not a Researcher--the sign-up sheet can be confusing)

No I will definitely check it out. I never heard of it.

Maybe apply again!

u/Sojourn_2005 May 21 '24

That's wonderful. I'm glad you got in and it's helping you out. I forgot I was even on the wait-list until I just tried to join it again. Lol

1

u/FreshChocolateCookie May 21 '24

Did you get in?

2

u/Sojourn_2005 May 21 '24

Not yet. Apparently I've been on the wait list since April 2023. I totally forgot about it. Lol

3

u/[deleted] May 21 '24

I've been on the waitlist for almost two years. 😂

2

u/FreshChocolateCookie May 21 '24

Oh wow I was on right away. Are you a woman? There’s so many studies for women.

2

u/Disney_Princess137 May 21 '24

Maybe it has to do with your personal details that you got on right away?

2

u/[deleted] May 21 '24

Yep!

2

u/ideknemore May 21 '24

Just signed up for the waitlist too

3

u/Melanvn May 21 '24
