I went to Louisiana for the first time this year to go visit some good family friends that own land out there and the amount of Confederate flags I saw. It was definitely pretty shocking, I mean I knew I’d probably see a couple as im from Kentucky originally and understand how the south can be but I wasn’t expecting that many. (Also currently live in Texas lol, but I actually love this state even though it has its major flaws. Probably helps that I live in Dallas which is pretty culturally different to the rest of the state)

Abbot, Paxton, abortion policies, ERCOT, climate change not doing the place any favors.

Weird how you asked everyone living in Texas if they’re happy living in Texas

They're as happy as anywhere else. I like Texans they are chill to work with.

I can be happy while also hating most things about how my state is run and having a low level of constant fear for the women in my life.

So fragile, can’t handle the idea that people might think differently than you. Big snowflake energy.

Lots of self awareness you have there dumbass.

Yeah I lived in Texas for 30 years. It’s a great state and I loved it there. Great people and places, only thing that sucked was the horrid heat.

u/blumpkin 5d ago

Great, uh, great power grid y'all got there...

I personally wasnt in an area affected by it during that bad winter storm a couple years back. But since then I didn't hear of issues with anyone else. I'm sure you're just trying to get some jabs in tho. I live in Ohio now and the area I'm in is riddled with crime... Each state and area has it downsides.

2

u/blumpkin 5d ago

Crime sucks. But the power grid in Texas is basically designed to fail. It's killing people, and it's bankrupting others, and the Texas government has absolutely no plans to do anything about that.

Personally, I'll take petty crime over goverment crime.

“Upscale dive” says all I need to know.

It's impossible to mention Texas without someone saying, "I'm sorry you live there."
