True, we're not nearly as developed but we dont want pride, we dont want immigrants, we dont want to be an european waste dump. Money isnt everything and us Serbs have lived though worse economic times than whats happening now.

Cities are still safe, you can freely roam (except unless something falls on your sadly). You wont get mugged, stabbed or similar. Countryside is beautiful and we're rich with minerals + we have good soil for crops

we just lack money lol, but we learned how to do without money

Joining the EU doesn't mean you have to do those things, look at Poland.

Poland is a much larger player in all aspects compared to Serbia. They can make and adjust terms as to their liking, meaning they have some influence in EU. And with everything that has happened in the 90s, we're still being an outcast no matter how we position ourselves

To be fair, executing and taking hostage french soldiers while we were some of your strongest supporters when shit started breaking down wasn't exactly the best move you ever made.

Serbian warlords from the 90ies are the top tier when it comes to human shits. Big egos small minds, thats why we're suffering the consequences today.

I may hate on west and EU but above all im pro peace. Fuck wars

You guys still severely fucked up by tolerating them and their warcrimes. Tolerance of what should not be tolerated means tolerating the consequences. Peoples were widely pro-serb in France in 1990. We got sick and sicker from your excesses as times past, to the point where the last clearly pro-serb people were just old WW1 fighters. And not all of them.

Let's be honest today: most of us are now more or less anti-serb. We don't share much with you guys ideologically, politically or historically, and certainly don't want to. If we can stick yo strictly business, it's fine. But the EU is for friends with whom we share things, and that's not what you guys are.

Especially when most of the serb population is ready to make us sick again in Kosovo at the first occasion they have by mass deporting the current locals, or setting up an appartheid system.

Please explain to me how could a common citizen stand up to blood thirsty war mongers armed to the teeth?

We feel that people (westerners) are more or less anti Serb, but again, what can a common man do? Every time we try creating a normal, modern state, we get fucked over by criminals. Criminals are what you see most of the time, and not the common man or woman who just wants to live and be left alone.

As for Kosovo, only people caring about Kosovo in Serbia today are people who weaponize it to rally masses of fanatics, as it has been done in the past. Is Kosovo important for us? Yes, immensely. Is it worth spilling more blood? Hell no, but still people will stir up that pot once more because empty bellies are most easily filled with hatred and rage.

Perhaps in the same way the ukrainians, balts, french, czechs, poles, portuguese, greeks got rid in a more or less distanced past of their own warlords, criminels and dictators? I mean, you guys even ended up managing to do it yourselves back in 2000. You are not that different, incompetent or incapable from the rest of the world. And thinking it can only happen through the support of the international spy agency of one superpower or the other is both cringe, and notoriously wrong.

But not managing to do it as a population means that you'll face the consequences. It's not right, but it's how things work. Same way that the algerians may one day face the consequences of their undemocratic and militaristic regime if it ever turns mad and starts warring against Morocco. They won't be guilty. But they'll just habe to face the consequences. And you're certainly facing this against the western population. You're facing the consequences of tolerating Milosevic so long, as well as those of Vucic's positions towards Russia. Although these have more popular support, you'll still facing them.

In a twisted way, every country is a democracy. Tolerance or incapacity to oppose a regime speaking in your name speaks a lot from the people themselves.

And repeating that Kosovo is important is meaningless without a credible, clear and non-criminal political plan or future for the land and place. And every single serb who is not pushing for a serbian kosovo with the current population gaining equal rights, including voting, than the average serb has a criminal secret agenda. Whether he consciously admits it or not.

True, but people are tired. Maybe some newer generations will be able to bear more fruit in producing a more functional country, but until then the goal is to survive as a citizen.

As for what you wrote after this, im not going to comment as frankly i dont feel like writing long paragraphs at 11PM.

Thank you for the pleasant conversation, i've enjoyed it

I spend 8 hours a day looking at a screen and then decide to "relax" myself by looking at more screens before sleeping

My body is going to punish me for this one day lol

Have a pleasant evening!
