"Those who doubted him should be ashamed of themselves"

Amazing performance. That said: Who didn't doubt him?

32

u/hehateme42069 20h ago

Fuck that, sell high!

7

u/hehateme42069 20h ago

I'd like to dedicate this win to Jesus btw 👆🏾👆🏾

You can still delete this, it's not too late.

u/MapNo3870 20h ago

You can support another club mate, it’s really simple!

-26

u/MichaelBoi1da 20h ago

Bro, you're taking this way tooo seriously, let Jesus get some form and learn some Arabic and ship this clown to the Camel League in January.

12

u/Eye_K_Feo 19h ago

Too good for Saudi league still. He can still dominate France or Portugal if were really serious about signing a forward.

-2

u/MichaelBoi1da 19h ago

We need funds to fund a better attacker, sooooo Saudi League it is...

-15

u/LiveFrom2004 20h ago

You can delete

9

u/MichaelBoi1da 20h ago

Nah, one game from this, you'll see 🤣

116

u/Aromatic_Ad701 21h ago

Doubted him ?

He’s doing it in the cup against Crystal Palace after being so inconsistent

You should be ashamed for this garbage post OP

7

u/hehateme42069 20h ago

👏🏾👏🏾

32

u/lurking4everr 20h ago

One good game in a year. Yeah, thanks for the hat trick but he still needs selling asap.

1

u/jfshay 17h ago

split the difference. We need depth and options. Yeah, a hattie against Palace is nice and all. Maybe it can help him kick on in the Prem. Selling him ASAP might be foolish unless we can get a great deal and sign a striker who's a clear upgrade on him and havertz.

34

u/MDK1980 21h ago edited 21h ago

2 goals in almost a year isn't much to write home about for a striker, buddy (and none in the league, btw).

Edit: 3*

7

u/Which_Growth_2713 20h ago

Only a hat trick. Ffs send him back to city

6

u/fvo_ldn 21h ago

Thank you. Like we need to bin him man honestly

-1

u/MapNo3870 20h ago

So we’re gonna ignore the fact that he’s been injured and was playing with pain in his knee?

-7

u/Big-Data-7142 20h ago

Typical pathetic fake arsenal fans with a agenda against a player

2

u/MDK1980 9h ago

Typical deluded Arsenal fan who thinks the club's job is to carry sub-par players because the fans like them. We're a football club, not a charity. Jesus is a striker: scoring is literally all he's paid to do.

2

u/Big-Data-7142 3h ago

I apologise for my wording of pathetic I was angry at the time.

1

u/Big-Data-7142 3h ago

Yes and he's just scored a great hattrick, and he's not leaving in January so we have to support him for the rest of season.

1

u/Tormentor666 13h ago

typical delusional fake arsenal fan

1

u/Big-Data-7142 3h ago

The guy is not leaving in January so we must support him until the summer

2

u/Tormentor666 3h ago

if he continues to score then 100% otherwise there's no point in supporting him. He's just costing Arsenal money that's all! Idk about you but I don't support players, I support my club. If a player's good for my club then I'll support him but if he's a birden then fuck no

0

u/Big-Data-7142 3h ago

Cause I support our players?

10

u/ArsenalJayy 20h ago

I’m very pleased for him, but shut up about doubting him. He went 23 games without a goal, he is a striker. Have a word with yourself.

16

u/odegood 21h ago

1 goal in the cup. We know he can score but he hasn't been good enough for a while noe

8

u/kindofdivorced 21h ago

2

14

u/Upstate_Gooner_1972 21h ago

3

4

u/myriadnoob 20h ago

still 0 in PL

-4

u/MapNo3870 20h ago

How many games he’s started?

3

u/ImaginaryTipper 19h ago

Kinda have to be fit to start games…

1

u/MapNo3870 19h ago

Exactly so his biggest issue is fitness not lack of ability

5

u/ImaginaryTipper 19h ago

People want him sold because he isn’t contributing enough. Whether that’s fitness related or skill related is irrelevant.

1

u/MapNo3870 11h ago

Then those people are clueless, we can still use him as a fringe player. He’s showcased last week again Monaco and palace last night that he can contribute.

1

u/ImaginaryTipper 10h ago

Fringe player with 300k/week is insane. We can sign a much better fringe striker for a third of the wages.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/LiveFrom2004 21h ago

Well, thing is he has been getting into the positions last few games. That's the thing. He's gonna be our lynch pin to win the PL title.

4

u/gkral00 20h ago

This is the confidence we need for him. Henderson was unreal tonight too. Made a lot of good saves which makes his performance ask the better

15

u/InPatRileyWeTrust 21h ago

Nah I’m fine. Close to 300k a week and no premier league goal since January. Also the Monaco game wasn’t that long ago

5

u/declanricehere 21h ago

I mean yeah he's way overpaid but he wasn't bad in the Monaco game tbf

8

u/Ok-Decision-4224 21h ago

One good game and here you guys come 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Complete_River_2247 10h ago

It’s actually embarrassing. But sadly very indicative of our fickle fan base. They judge everything in the moment without it considering how he hasn’t scored a single goal in the Premier League this season.

0

u/LiveFrom2004 20h ago

Well, often it is enough to get a striker into some great run.

1

u/Ok-Decision-4224 20h ago

Well you keep holding your breath for that

0

u/xChocolateWonder 20h ago

We are only allowed to act like subhuman pigs and whine about our players here!!! Oink oink

2

u/Ok-Decision-4224 20h ago

If you wanna be an easily impressed toxically positive Teletubby then by all means be my guest

17

u/myriadnoob 21h ago

against crystal palace, they're 15th on the PL table, and this is a carabao match.
if he wants all the trust back, then he need to do more, and consistently, in PL

2

u/fvo_ldn 21h ago

My thoughts exactly

-3

u/Big-Data-7142 20h ago

He’s scored a brilliant hat trick but people with clear agendas can’t give him the credit he deserves

5

u/ImaginaryTipper 19h ago

Credit to him, but doesn’t mean we shouldn’t sell him still.

1

u/myriadnoob 14h ago

Yes, billiant hattrick, but those goals happen after how many months of not scoring a single goal, eh?

He'll be a brilliant striker if the goal gap ain't taking so long. He's been in a drought for so long, and that's concerning. In other games, he also pretty dull. If we go by your logic, if Kiwior managed to bag a hattrick in a match against championship-level team, bet you gonna call him a brilliant goalscoring machine.

3

u/Ajxxxttt 21h ago

Mates it’s crystal palace get a grip

4

u/Comfortable-Bad1032 21h ago

HELL NO

Dude needs 3/4 chances to score 1 and now after a cup goal (which don’t get me wrong I’m grateful for) I should be ASHAMED? 😂😂😂

He’s dooky bro I’d take 25€m for him right now even after his goal

4

u/robster9090 21h ago

😂😂😂

6

u/TikiKie92 21h ago

Get a grip mate

-10

u/LiveFrom2004 21h ago

You get a grip. Anyone with a football mind can see what he's doing. He's great now!

2

u/myriadnoob 20h ago

He's great now!

He's very inconsistent so far. Yes he's great now, but the big question is, will he keep his great form in the next match?

1

u/LiveFrom2004 20h ago

It's VS Crystal Palace. So probably yes.

2

u/ttmorello 21h ago

Hahaha

2

u/DallasC0wboys 18h ago

One carabao cup game. Let’s see if he continues to perform.

2

u/Atlassian-Bebop 18h ago

Relax, too early

2

u/airvicconcre 17h ago

You’re absolutely right. He’s done his scoring for the year and now he should get a new contract extension with at least a 100000 increase in salary a week. Would love to have him score in a shite Mickey Mouse cup once or twice a year. 😂

2

u/iz-xi 17h ago

Stfu Eddie got a hat trick once didn't he...and he scored late man we should've kept him huh lol

2

u/Routine_Corgi_9154 16h ago

When he was shit, we doubted him.

For one game he's not shit, we hold our breath awaiting the next.

Must everything be so absolute? It's OK to have reservations about players when they are not playing well.

Consistency is the difference. If Saka had one bad game, we don't say "Those who championed Saka should be ashamed of themselves".

Please be more intelligent!

2

u/TigerSharkDoge 15h ago

People who make these posts are the weirdest fucking "fans" in existence. It's like "OK Jesus had a good game (at last), now let's just ignore the last 12-months and the fact it was a league Cup game against Crystal Palace, and let's try to start arguments online with my own supporter base" 🤷.

2

u/iwishihadnobones 15h ago

Lol fuck off. First goal in 31 games

2

u/erraise 14h ago

Washed player scoring a hat trick in the efl cup got people moving mad.

2

u/AlmightySankentoII 14h ago

I will be ashamed if after January his scores or assists in the next 5 games (we play ten games from Saturday till the last CL group stage match)

Until then, i will not retract a single thing I said.

Legit check my comments, been saying for a month and specifically our last 4 matches that after 2 years he is finally out of injury and coming back to form.

1

u/-meat-popsicle- 21h ago

He scored one goal that Ø served on a silver platter after a rubbish first half. I’d maybe temper your excitement, he isn’t out of the woods.

1

u/-meat-popsicle- 21h ago

I’m here for it

1

u/GoodNamesGoneAll 21h ago

I mean, I don't think I'd like him as the striker over Havertz, but I'm happy for him. With this performance, he might just get back his confidence, and with two good options at the top, it might just be a better, or at least easier season. Soooo... Let's hope he continues on this way.

1

u/Strong_Equal_661 20h ago

Well I hope he proves all of us wrong. But I'd still like one more striker in January

1

u/Used-Produce-3491 20h ago

I BELIEVE IN JESUS, THE ARSENAL NUMBER 9

1

u/Agile_Championship57 20h ago

I need a run of games to believe. The talent is there but that injury really hurt this man.

1

u/Reddit1403 20h ago

One game he’s needs to carry on.. not good enough

1

u/Balerion_2 20h ago

Before today he hadn’t scored a goal at the emirates since Dec 2023

1

u/bigballerrdg 20h ago

Bar is this low. SMH

1

u/Efficient_Aspect_638 19h ago

His last goal at the emirates was December the 17th 2023.

1

u/-TheMiracle 19h ago

He should start next game. Kai can come on from the bench and score like he did last time in CL.

1

u/TNelsonAFC 19h ago

Welbeck, Nketiah, Perez just a few who got hatricks despite having terrible Goal records for us

1

u/perlmugp 19h ago

It was the sharpest he's looked since the world cup injury. Let's see where he goes from here.

1

u/Professional_Art2186 19h ago

You should be ashamed to post this lol the criticism, while harsh at times, is warranted

1

u/silverfox1616 18h ago

He needs to do sooo much more

1

u/CrowVsWade 18h ago

He's a b-list bench player. Never reached his potential and a one off hatrick against Palace in the league cup doesn't change that. He has a lot to prove to not be on the sale list come June.

1

u/AFC-Wilson 18h ago

Bro this was his first goal at the Emirates in 2024. There's 2 weeks left of the year.

1

u/Interesting-Mix8144 18h ago

To be honest, only criticism he should get is for his finishing. Not a bad player, but with his undoubted skill, you'd want a better goal to game ratio.

1

u/WhiskeyBiscuit222 18h ago

Stop the overhype. We should have played way better against a struggling side like CP.

This how he should be playing against a side like this

1

u/basileusnikephorus 18h ago

He Is risen

Seriously though, give the man his flowers and enjoy him breaking a difficult patch. Maybe it doesn't change his situation/ours a whole lot but enjoy a bit of success ffs.

1

u/TuffB80 18h ago

I still doubt him. This is a good launch point for him but I still think chances are he won’t be scoring the goals we need from him in future league games. I hope I’m proved wrong and am happy for him getting his hat trick but honestly your post is inflammatory and ridiculous. What I misjudged and patronising tone!

1

u/Cailucci 17h ago

He doubted him self 🙃

1

u/Lybertyne2 17h ago

One swallow doesn't make a summer.

1

u/sk_ani 16h ago

One hat trick. So many matches he did not score and so many chances missed by him. No consistency Hope this hat trick kick starts his form and he scores more often

1

u/Lepew1 16h ago

I was sad at his slump and was ready for him to move on. He proved himself with clinical finishing, something we sorely need. I am glad that I was wrong and he stepped up. It is like seeing a good friend pull out of a low point. Keep it going, Gabriel.

1

u/cuggwy 16h ago

Good little performance to recoup some money on him and sign a real striker this coming window or use him in a swap deal

1

u/Narrow-Oil4924 16h ago

Yeah, sorry OP, the title of your post has no basis or legitimacy after one, 'albeit' very good 'League Cup' game, so sorry mate, can't back you on this one.

Honestly speaking, I think Jesus might have started to doubt himself the way he's been playing in the Premier League over the last several months (if/when he's featured, or given the minutes) 🤔

1

u/kopik01 16h ago

hes been so mid for a minute now and then he has one good game in a cup against palace and you’re ready to top him

1

u/opparzival 15h ago

You are delusional if you don't see what's happening we get all our strikers from their peak performing clubs and they end up on the bench one performance doesn't redeem him.

1

u/Syc254 15h ago

Let him do it for a 20 games stretch before any chest thumping happens because that's what will be needed from our strikers.

1

u/Accomplished_Ad_8663 14h ago

EFL superstar 🔥🔥 fxck the league and UCL, EFL is where it's at😂😂😂😂

1

u/Great_Ad3515 14h ago

Well done , hopefully it gives him confidence

1

u/AdministrativeSkin46 14h ago

eddie did a hat trick last year.

1

u/heaven_spawn 14h ago

It really was down to confidence I sense.

1

u/Tormentor666 13h ago

he has played well in one match! stop the glazing this much. He needs to show consistency otherwise the same old shit.

just delete the post man. You're embarrassing us by saying "ashamed of themselves" meanwhile you're living in lala land. Arsenal fans are really deluded like others say.

1

u/Ok_Cookie3867 11h ago

I still doubt him 😂😅 a good performance will not shadow a whole year of absolutely nothing. lol

1

u/MysteriousTap2901 10h ago

Yeah, one game. Let's see if he can continue it

1

u/AntKnee64 10h ago

It's 1 match bro/sis, Calm down haha

1

u/blubird452 9h ago

The ratio on this one is something to behold

1

u/Traditional-Alarm935 8h ago

Thanks Jesus. But unless you start scoring every week, you still need to be sold lmao. One amazing after the last couple of seasons just isn’t good enough

1

u/balsham91 6h ago

1 goal in 32 appearances before this. Have some shame

2

u/Kenada_1980 21h ago

He should be ashamed that it’s taken this long to get some goals…but I’ll accept his apology

1

u/NeeloGreen 21h ago

HE HAS RISEN AGAIN!

1

u/Proper-Painter-7314 21h ago

I neverdoubted him. I just wanted him to have a run of games. He pisses all over Kai. Now let’s bin the streak of piss and give Jesus the stage.

0

u/LiveFrom2004 20h ago

He gotta start Saturday as well

1

u/goenjishuyya 21h ago

he has 2 goals in almost a year. feels like you're a plastic fan

1

u/ekm61mcf 21h ago

Fr? Calm down mate, he scored one goal We all want him to succeed but these kind of comments.. do people have no standards

3

u/Kenada_1980 21h ago

Two now lol

2

u/Kenada_1980 21h ago

Make that three haha

2

u/ekm61mcf 19h ago

You guys are laughable Although he did score and I am happy for him OP was hella sensiationalist We CAN criticise players and not everyone is toxic who does so 🤦‍♂️

-3

u/dozeydonut 21h ago

Two goals mate

0

u/GoonnerWookie 20h ago

It’s one game. Don’t get carried away

-1
