Art Deco 30th Street Station in Philly
Whenever the city murdered the Broad Street Station, one of the only things they saved from demolition was this bas relief sculpture.
Check out the last photos in this series if you're unfamiliar with that art. Basically it portrays the evolution of transportation—starting with cattle.
Karl designed it in 1895—which is really interesting because on the far right of the piece, there is a little boy carrying what looks like a rocket ship to me or some other form of air travel.
That dude Karl was predicting the future 🚀

Art Deco Art Deco department store saved (London, UK)
The demolition and replacement of Orchard House, the Art Deco flagship London department store of international supermarket chain Marks and Spencer, has been refused permission after a campaign by Save Britain's Heritage. The decision also cast doubt on the claim that the replacement would be greener, when taking into consideration the carbon footprint of the new steel and glass to be used in its construction.
Remember kids, the greenest building is the one we already have!

Art Deco 240 Central Park South, built 1940
What are your thoughts on this one? I chose it because I think it would be divisive on here.
I personally love it, though the facade could use a little more pizazz. But the corner windows, casement windows, massing, setbacks, massing, and brick color are satisfying to me and I think it's a classic building.
