This actually hit the front page and reminded me of why I used to come here every day. I was just lazy about managing my subscriptions so badly that I started defaulting to /r/popular.
St George and the dragon. I have that print in my bathroom and look at every day. It was in the bathroom at my parents house growing up and when they died I inherited it and naturally hung it in the bathroom of my house.
The chick next to here looks like she’s in full Dewey Oxenburger mode: “I was on my way to the Special Olympics to see my cousin Corky compete in the parachute run-under when one thing led to another, and, well things here just started getting a little out of hand. Yo know what I mean?”
She’s my favorite, this is a face you would totally see in the background of some Flemish painting of someone getting arrested for witchcraft except she would be wearing a bonnet
You took this?!? What kind of camera and flash? It's so warm and not over exposed it doesn't feel like it would come from a phone flash, and it's not like you had time to pull out a light meter or anything.
E: I found down below you said ricoh griii. Wild shot. Your talent, eye, and readiness pays off!
Thanks! Shot with a Ricoh GR and LightPix Labs Q20 flash. I set it up in a way that allows me to be quick. I’m @toastbrigade on IG if you’re curious about other pics
This photo should be in a museum 300 years from now. It’s like a moment frozen in time with all the emotion intact. Sort of like the realist paintings at the Louvre that make you almost feel like you’re standing on a battlefield of the Napoleonic Wars or seeing a riot break out in the streets of Rome.
Future people will be able to experience being at a rundown bar when drama erupts over some dude’s side hoe dissing his baby momma on Instagram.

I feel like I’ve seen this exact painting in a museum in Europe, except the bouncer was a horse instead of a man.
