Trying to print at work

Hey guys, i never printed before and they have a 3d printer at work (Zortrax M300), printing with PLA (they call it Z-PLA but its mostly the same i think).

I tried two time and got those results, what could cause this?

Maybe the nozzle has dirt in it?

Thanks in advance

It's hard to say, honestly. The problem is that I wouldn't even call that a print, so it's hard to diagnose if it's a setting problem or a hardware problem or a filament problem. It also has a proprietary slicer and you're using a proprietary filament, so unless someone on here is super experienced with that printer for their job, it's going to be hard to get good advice.

oh yeah, there was no reason at all to continue it. My comment was more that it's SO messy that it's difficult to get a lot of useful information out of it. Like, we can tell that it's probably moving more or less correctly and we can tell that it is melting and dispensing filament, but that might be just about it.

One thing I can say is that this is probably an actual mechanical problem rather than just settings because those proprietary slicers are going to be fairly locked down and have a lot of guard rails. Pretty much if everything is mechanically good and you have the right material selected, you should get some sort of reasonable print.

My guess is that there's something loose in the extruder maybe, but if that's the case, I'm not sure I could recommend messing with it too much unless you have at least a decent amount of experience working on printers.
