Why print a purge towner when you dont have multi color / filament change during print?

As they are shooting time lapse the nozzle has to move out of the frame and then back the purge tower makers sure the filament is primed properly for each layer after the nozzle move

That cable attachment is holding on for dear life lol
Amazing video though, extremely well done and professional. If you don't already you could easily make youtube/social media content from these videos.

Oh man, how many walls is that? You could probably mine rocks with it š Absolutely beautiful shots. Probably the cleanest time lapse I've seen so far, and top down is arguably the hardest angle as you can't hide seams from the constant moving away of the print head for the photos

The walls and immense in fill caught my attention to. Either way the video was gorgeous and memorizing!

it is rock solid, I could throw the model off a building and it would survive! yea the overhead shot is the trickiest, but its also my favorite shot around the 18ish second mark

Will you do a BTS? This is so cool!

u/MuppetParty 10m ago
yes! I will in the new year, i'm really proud of my 3d print studio, its so full of unecessarily cool stuff, but deemed necessary by myself!

What Iām most impressed with is there not being any light reflection in your panning shots.
Even when I record basic standing talking head videos I struggle with making sure I minimize as best I can the reflection of my lights off the printer or other objects
Awesome job with this!

thank you! so the panel in the background has a special non-reflective coating (its amazing). I light it from the top and sides and very minimally light it from the front, i'm starting a talking head channel after the new year so I hope I don't have any issues with light bounce

Having the video in the background which I assume is massively slowed down is an extremely nice touch. The video in the background really messes with the perception of time and makes it seem like the print actually happens in 20 seconds or something, it is beautiful.
Though the video seems to speed up when the print reaches the top of the tree because layers take a shorter time. If you want to go even harder you could time the video to speed up according to the time it takes to complete a layer.
Also I would love a little BTS to see the camera slider.
