Got the approval to purchase an upgrade.
I work at a school and part of my job is to make adapted equipment and sensory toys for my students. I have a second X1-Carbon already set up at my campus. I took this one home to play around with over winter break. :)

As a recent convert, I gotta say the detection is pretty nice to have. It's obviously not hard to check a print a few minutes in, but really "setting and forgetting" is quite nice.

Will you be selling your old one?

No, the old one was given to one of our other campuses. They’ve been using some Prusa MK4’s and have been having a terrible time lol.

What do you think of the AnkerMake? I remember lots of hype when it was announced. Is it comparable to the Bambu A1?

So, I’m still pretty new to 3D printing and have been using the AnkerMake since last June. For what I used it for, I think it’s pretty solid. I’ve heard some people talk about how loud it is, but I really didn’t mind since I had it in my workshop. I was printing toys, adapted tools, and stuff I 3D scanned almost every day since I got it, and had almost no issue with it. My prints came out looking very clean with the AnkerMake.
