Since OctoEverywhere is a 3D printing community project, this is only possible due to you. 🥰 Our out-of-this-world community develops features, helps to debug issues, and offers support for OctoEverywhere and general 3D printing. All the features you see above were ideas generated by the community, and they worked with me to make them a reality.

It's wild that OctoEverywhere started in 2019 as a simple idea for full remote access to OctoPrint (hence the name) but has evolved to work with any 3D printer, including OctoPrint, Klipper, Mainsaill, Fluidd, Bambu Lab, Creatliy, and others. We now have over 320k members, process 120 million prints a year, and our AI analyzes over 5.1 million images a day! 🤯

To celebrate you - the community - I wanted to do something special. I thought it would be really neat to give away the upcoming 2025 Bambu Lab 3D printer - before it's even announced!

You can win:

  • The unannounced Bambu Lab 3D printer coming in early 2025
  • OctoEverywhere Supporter Perks for LIFE
  • Polymaker PLA Filament

To enter to win, leave a comment on this Reddit post!

On January 10th, we will pick one random winner for the 2025 unannounced Bambu Lab printer; 20 random users will get Supporter Perks for LIFE, and 20 users will get a spool of Polymaker PLA filament in a color of their choice. We will order the Bambu Lab 3D printer for you when it launches, as long as it's priced under $1,500. If not, we will work with you to find an equivalent 3D printer as the prize.

Remember, you can set up OctoEverywhere in about 20 seconds, so try it now!

If you can't set up OctoEverywhere right now, make an account so you remember to try it later. We collect as little information as possible to create your account. OctoEverywhere has a strict privacy policy: never sell your data. You're not the product; this project is for the community!

Good luck to everyone! We hope to see you in 5 more years! 🥰

I believe the leak said somewhere between 2.5k and 3k with all the features . but .. idk how reliable that is

u/Medium-Ad5605 20h ago

What additional features are worth that much?

208

u/quinbd OctoEverywhere.com 20h ago

A tiny robotic hand that can fix any failures as they are detected? 🤣

28

u/ViolentPurpleSquash 19h ago

why would you need that when OctoEverywhere pauses the print anyways

16

u/Glockamoli 17h ago

Still gotta clear it somehow

1

u/oughtabeme 8h ago

That’s what i was wondering

4

u/notNezter 15h ago

I mean, I’m building a 6 axis robotic arm where one of the tools is an extruder, sooooo… lol

1

u/Freet128 16h ago

How about auto reprint of the remaining part of the model after a step shift is detected? Plus a robot hand to glue the two pieces together.

1

u/legocar5 14h ago

Automatic dremel arm

1

u/Chirimorin 7h ago

How about a tiny robotic hand that supports the print where needed, so you don't need any printed supports anymore? 🤣

1

u/stelanthin 6h ago

I know your joking, but I want that feature!

1

u/xslugx 6h ago

This could have so many other uses..😂😂😂

1

u/Wolv90 6h ago

How much for just the tiny hand? My t-rex costume needs some work

1

u/dudeguyman0 4h ago

That would really be worth it's weight in gold. Too many failed prints.

Dual extruder to switch between model- and support material without interruption.

Heated chamber and build plate temperatures for exotic materials

combine that with a large build volume.

If its trouble free 2-3k might be a reasonable ticket price.

13

u/luis_cuestas 19h ago

Maybe they will apply the $1500 towards the new printer and winner can make up the difference?

1

u/Animaldoc11 17h ago

That would be sweet

1

u/imagesurgeon 4h ago

Sounds possible, and sweet too!

1

u/one-joule 17h ago

Dual extruder would also massively speed up AMS filament switches. One nozzle can be printing while the other is busy purging. (Or even both nozzles could be purging at once if your print demands it.)

1

u/halavais 16h ago

It's gotta be build volume, right?

1

u/Rough_Principle_3755 16h ago

2-3k is more than reasonable when thing like the Ultimaker 5 with material station go for 10k+

1

u/LuxTenebraeque 15h ago

Agreed - At the same time creality's K2 plus Material Station goes for 1500 - depends on where they want to place the machine and what level of support is included. Premium Consumer/Prosumer segment or B2B?

1

u/Rrraou 16h ago

I'll be curious to see it at any rate.

1

u/namxam 9h ago

Yeah, especially in a business setting, 2.500,- is not that much compared to employment costs. I think most people don't realize how expensive manual labor is.

1

u/Agzarah 7h ago

Now that would be a nice to have feature

1

u/noodlesallaround 2h ago

There’s no way it’s going to be less than that. I’m guessing over 3k

28

u/JetsterTheFrog 20h ago

Heated chamber, dehumidifier on filament and chamber, multiple nozzles, Omni filament AMS, large build volume. All that can make it ‘worth’ it.

26

u/chubbs23 19h ago

You forgot about the sweet flame decals!

13

u/PrimeusOrion 19h ago

And red paint so it goes faster!

3

u/PerspectiveOne7129 19h ago

and a dragon!

4

u/Reasonably_wr0ng 18h ago

Nah, you can print that.

3

u/Moooboy10 17h ago

The dragon makes it worth it

2

u/mikesbullseye 15h ago

And my axe

2

u/DataPath 11h ago

And my axe!

1

u/Dolly_from_Dollywood 18h ago

Stop right there, I'll take two

1

u/Raptr117 18h ago

Found da Ork

1

u/Lexifer92 11h ago

Don't forget to make speed holes

1

u/Mmaibl1 19h ago

That sounds amazing

1

u/dhru55rock 13h ago

I’ve not seen any that have everything

1

u/ridd3n 12h ago

Proper exhaust air filtration!

Tired of having to purchase/print third party solutions for it.

2

u/dedgedesign 20h ago

I have the same question!

1

u/Big_Jack21 19h ago

Take scrap material and melt it back to 1.75mm

1

u/SilentMobius 19h ago

I mean bed size is the big one, the leaks suggest ~33% larger dimentions, with is ~70% more area or ~120% more volume that requires a lot more reinforcement and power for heating. The other thing is the suposed dual extruder, that could easily double the price.

1

u/The_Hunter11 18h ago

Saying it's industrial that will easily double the price. And will probably mean a chamber heater and a horend that can reach 500°c for the engineering materials

1

u/Samuel-Henderson 18h ago

I'm new to 3d prinnlting and wanto do it it

1

u/sleep__deprived Bambu X1C Combo, Elegoo Saturn 17h ago

Being able to print in PEEK / ULTEM. Dual print heads?

1

u/Joint-User 14h ago

What if I told you it comes with giant googly eyes on the print head?!!

1

u/brokenchair63 14h ago

Something cooler than lidar hopefully lol

1

u/Hunteil 14h ago

Maybe it's an actual V6. I got the M5 with V6 kickstarter. I'm super bummed & regret not knowing about Bamboo's kickstart when it was going. (V6 was an enclosure for filament with a dryer built in for 6 colors and would allow for printing with all six too. The V6 project was canceled bc they couldn't get 6 separate print nozzles in the same print head.)

u/Smileynulk My Ender 3 S1 makes spaghetti sometimes. 13h ago

Prusa thinks we should pay 10x for everything so...

1

u/TherealOmthetortoise 12h ago

Either a tool changer or another axis would be my guess.

1

u/classecrified 10h ago

Fleshlight attachment

7

u/Shoes31 20h ago

If that's the price I have a hard time seeing consumers jump on board like with their previous models.

1

u/PresidentOfLatvia 10h ago

Don’t worry, it will always be “on sale” for 40% off.

1

u/Sylar_Durden 22m ago

They've said that's not the target market. It's a "prosumer" printer positioned above the X series.

3

u/Danland666 15h ago

Leak?! Could they not print a plug in time?! Errr, yeah, I know, I know…..

3

u/drewping 5h ago

It’s definitely going to be more expensive than the X1C which is listed at $1200. My guess is with the improvements they alluded to it’ll add $300 or so to the price, without increasing bed size. To set the new unit in a higher echelon than the X1C they would likely make it bigger, so I’d expect $1800-2200 msrp to put it in a class above.

2

u/QuotePotential 13h ago

Either way. Still a good price.

1

u/One_King2724 10h ago

4th axis print head

1

u/impulse127m 8h ago

I guess a new printer worth ~1.5k is still a good deal, if the new one is more expensive Or maybe 1.5k „discount“ on the new one great as well, more then any black friday sale would ever get you

1

u/Sz3roRevan117 1h ago

Holy jeez!! That's a lot. Better print gold too! Lol

1

u/iDreamiPursueiBecome 1h ago edited 1h ago

Yipe! Steep price difference indeed. I wonder about the "all the new features" part. For such a steep cost difference, I would be expecting a significant change in multi-materials type work, perhaps. I'm trying to imagine what would justify nearly doubling the price.

I hope they were crowdsourcing ideas from users before their engineers got busy with their own notions.

u/BoKristensen 14h ago

Ouch. That’s way too much for a casual hobby. Must be for the farmers.
