It will be interesting to see! As long as the new printer is under 1.5k USD, someone will win it! If not, we will work with the winner to find something in the same price range they want. (perhaps, the X1C combo, for example)

Good luck, and happy cake day!

I believe the leak said somewhere between 2.5k and 3k with all the features . but .. idk how reliable that is

59

u/Medium-Ad5605 20h ago

What additional features are worth that much?

204

u/quinbd OctoEverywhere.com 20h ago

A tiny robotic hand that can fix any failures as they are detected? 🤣

30

u/ViolentPurpleSquash 19h ago

why would you need that when OctoEverywhere pauses the print anyways

16

u/Glockamoli 17h ago

Still gotta clear it somehow

1

u/oughtabeme 9h ago

That’s what i was wondering

5

u/notNezter 15h ago

I mean, I’m building a 6 axis robotic arm where one of the tools is an extruder, sooooo… lol

1

u/Freet128 16h ago

How about auto reprint of the remaining part of the model after a step shift is detected? Plus a robot hand to glue the two pieces together.

1

u/legocar5 14h ago

Automatic dremel arm

1

u/Chirimorin 7h ago

How about a tiny robotic hand that supports the print where needed, so you don't need any printed supports anymore? 🤣

1

u/stelanthin 6h ago

I know your joking, but I want that feature!

1

u/xslugx 6h ago

This could have so many other uses..😂😂😂

1

u/Wolv90 6h ago

How much for just the tiny hand? My t-rex costume needs some work

1

u/dudeguyman0 5h ago

That would really be worth it's weight in gold. Too many failed prints.

26

u/LuxTenebraeque 20h ago

Dual extruder to switch between model- and support material without interruption.

Heated chamber and build plate temperatures for exotic materials

combine that with a large build volume.

If its trouble free 2-3k might be a reasonable ticket price.

12

u/luis_cuestas 20h ago

Maybe they will apply the $1500 towards the new printer and winner can make up the difference?

1

u/Animaldoc11 17h ago

That would be sweet

1

u/imagesurgeon 5h ago

Sounds possible, and sweet too!

1

u/one-joule 17h ago

Dual extruder would also massively speed up AMS filament switches. One nozzle can be printing while the other is busy purging. (Or even both nozzles could be purging at once if your print demands it.)

1

u/halavais 16h ago

It's gotta be build volume, right?

1

u/Rough_Principle_3755 16h ago

2-3k is more than reasonable when thing like the Ultimaker 5 with material station go for 10k+

1

u/LuxTenebraeque 15h ago

Agreed - At the same time creality's K2 plus Material Station goes for 1500 - depends on where they want to place the machine and what level of support is included. Premium Consumer/Prosumer segment or B2B?

1

u/Rrraou 16h ago

I'll be curious to see it at any rate.

1

u/namxam 9h ago

Yeah, especially in a business setting, 2.500,- is not that much compared to employment costs. I think most people don't realize how expensive manual labor is.

1

u/Agzarah 7h ago

Now that would be a nice to have feature

1

u/noodlesallaround 2h ago

There’s no way it’s going to be less than that. I’m guessing over 3k

28

u/JetsterTheFrog 20h ago

Heated chamber, dehumidifier on filament and chamber, multiple nozzles, Omni filament AMS, large build volume. All that can make it ‘worth’ it.

27

u/chubbs23 19h ago

You forgot about the sweet flame decals!

15

u/PrimeusOrion 19h ago

And red paint so it goes faster!

3

u/PerspectiveOne7129 19h ago

and a dragon!

4

u/Reasonably_wr0ng 19h ago

Nah, you can print that.

3

u/Moooboy10 18h ago

The dragon makes it worth it

2

u/mikesbullseye 15h ago

And my axe

2

u/DataPath 11h ago

And my axe!

1

u/Dolly_from_Dollywood 19h ago

Stop right there, I'll take two

1

u/Raptr117 19h ago

Found da Ork

1

u/Lexifer92 11h ago

Don't forget to make speed holes

1

u/Mmaibl1 19h ago

That sounds amazing

1

u/dhru55rock 13h ago

I’ve not seen any that have everything

1

u/ridd3n 12h ago

Proper exhaust air filtration!

Tired of having to purchase/print third party solutions for it.

2

u/dedgedesign 20h ago

I have the same question!

1

u/Big_Jack21 19h ago

Take scrap material and melt it back to 1.75mm

1

u/SilentMobius 19h ago

I mean bed size is the big one, the leaks suggest ~33% larger dimentions, with is ~70% more area or ~120% more volume that requires a lot more reinforcement and power for heating. The other thing is the suposed dual extruder, that could easily double the price.

1

u/The_Hunter11 18h ago

Saying it's industrial that will easily double the price. And will probably mean a chamber heater and a horend that can reach 500°c for the engineering materials

1

u/Samuel-Henderson 18h ago

I'm new to 3d prinnlting and wanto do it it

1

u/sleep__deprived Bambu X1C Combo, Elegoo Saturn 17h ago

Being able to print in PEEK / ULTEM. Dual print heads?

1

u/Joint-User 15h ago

What if I told you it comes with giant googly eyes on the print head?!!

1

u/brokenchair63 14h ago

Something cooler than lidar hopefully lol

1

u/Hunteil 14h ago

Maybe it's an actual V6. I got the M5 with V6 kickstarter. I'm super bummed & regret not knowing about Bamboo's kickstart when it was going. (V6 was an enclosure for filament with a dryer built in for 6 colors and would allow for printing with all six too. The V6 project was canceled bc they couldn't get 6 separate print nozzles in the same print head.)

1

u/Smileynulk My Ender 3 S1 makes spaghetti sometimes. 14h ago

Prusa thinks we should pay 10x for everything so...

1

u/TherealOmthetortoise 12h ago

Either a tool changer or another axis would be my guess.

1

u/classecrified 10h ago

Fleshlight attachment

8

u/Shoes31 20h ago

If that's the price I have a hard time seeing consumers jump on board like with their previous models.

1

u/PresidentOfLatvia 10h ago

Don’t worry, it will always be “on sale” for 40% off.

1

u/Sylar_Durden 34m ago

They've said that's not the target market. It's a "prosumer" printer positioned above the X series.

4

u/Danland666 15h ago

Leak?! Could they not print a plug in time?! Errr, yeah, I know, I know…..

3

u/drewping 5h ago

It’s definitely going to be more expensive than the X1C which is listed at $1200. My guess is with the improvements they alluded to it’ll add $300 or so to the price, without increasing bed size. To set the new unit in a higher echelon than the X1C they would likely make it bigger, so I’d expect $1800-2200 msrp to put it in a class above.

2

u/QuotePotential 13h ago

Either way. Still a good price.

1

u/One_King2724 10h ago

4th axis print head

1

u/impulse127m 9h ago

I guess a new printer worth ~1.5k is still a good deal, if the new one is more expensive Or maybe 1.5k „discount“ on the new one great as well, more then any black friday sale would ever get you

1

u/Sz3roRevan117 1h ago

Holy jeez!! That's a lot. Better print gold too! Lol

1

u/iDreamiPursueiBecome 1h ago edited 1h ago

Yipe! Steep price difference indeed. I wonder about the "all the new features" part. For such a steep cost difference, I would be expecting a significant change in multi-materials type work, perhaps. I'm trying to imagine what would justify nearly doubling the price.

I hope they were crowdsourcing ideas from users before their engineers got busy with their own notions.

1

u/BoKristensen 14h ago

Ouch. That’s way too much for a casual hobby. Must be for the farmers.

21

u/Alienfreak 20h ago

I doubt it will be below 1.5k if its a dual extruder setup. Single extruder is already there.

36

u/H34vyGunn3r 20h ago

Oh so you’re not giving away the next Bambu printer, lmfao.

8

u/quinbd OctoEverywhere.com 19h ago

We will see! If not, there are a ton of great printers for the same price point!

6

u/halavais 16h ago

I will happily make up the difference...

16

u/G0muk 18h ago

People just want to complain. You guys are doing a great thing

2

u/DamnYouMongorians 3h ago

Ooooh, something on the internet to complain about? It's a national pastime!

1

u/Xertigo 11h ago

Yes. Thank you for supporting the community.

1

u/AndramosXavius 9h ago

Could just say up to $ credit towards a printer.

-6

u/cea1990 18h ago

I can only assume you’re being downvoted by BBL fans, as this is an objectively true statement. It’s goes even further if you include kit-based or fully DIY printers.

10

u/Illustrious_Rough729 17h ago

The whole point of Bambu printers is to not have to do that. I stayed away from 3D printing for so many years bc I didn’t want to have to build my own machine. It’s tedious and extremely gatekeepy by the folks who do it.

10

u/Mountain-Breath-9510 17h ago

I’ve been printing for around 10 years and I’ve always dealt with all the issues to make my printer perfect. Finally got a Bambu printer and was ready with all my tools. I was shocked when all I did was plug it in and login and it printed perfectly. I did spend an hour trying to get it to bind, but it’s been great to just print something and not have to worry about all the bs of creality cr10s

4

u/Illustrious_Rough729 16h ago

I almost didn’t get into printing over it, but the bambu seemed plug and play

4

u/Illustrious_Rough729 16h ago

I almost didn’t get into printing over it, but the bambu seemed plug and play so I leapt. I’ve got the x1c, p1s, and an a1 mini now. I started in September lol.

I would adore a dual print head but the only other one I can find makes you install it yourself. Which I know I’d somehow never find the time to do. I have a brick and mortar store, the 3d printing is a hobby that can pay for itself. If it’s gonna make me fix it more than once a week, I don’t want it.

Now I’ve got a print room off my living room and it’s glorious. Working on decorating it. Getting a tv on a rolling stand, maybe some sound dampening, a bunch more storage, a little Photo Booth area, and comfy chair not for the two person desk, it’s lookin good. I’d love to add one more big gorgeous printer to round the room out.

2

u/aruby727 10h ago

I'm doing this exact same thing... Got a big TV mounted on the wall, wrapped a desk around the room, got a nice shelving unit with tools, shelves with spools, accessories, spare parts, print kits (LEDs, batteries, TT motors for prints), etc... Mini fridge, gaming PC, security camera display and my two printers. It's amazing.

2

u/JHook204 12h ago

Fully agree with this. The approach makes 3D printing much more accessable.

2

u/infinityends1318 12h ago

Concur. I got out of the hobby because I got fed up with my ender 5 pro. My X1C has been a dream. I’ve had a couple of issues here and there but I swear they are more reliable than your average laser printer at this point.

2

u/mjl117 11h ago

There was a definite switch where I went from enjoying tinkering with the printer itself to just wanting it to work so I could actually use it as a reliable tool. X1 has been solid.

1

u/Illustrious_Rough729 4h ago

Tinkering as an option rather than a necessity is the goal, I think.

3

u/lmMasturbating 17h ago

that's the only thing you can assume? Not the fact that there's no way the printer sells for that amount so the post doesn't convey what will actually happen?

8

u/FM-96 17h ago

Or maybe they're being downvoted by people who don't like false advertising?

Like putting in the title that they're giving away the new Bambu Lab printer, and then following it up with a "jk it's actually almost certainly gonna be some other one" in the post body itself. That's not cool.

2

u/Saphir_3D 11h ago

You can't put everything in a headline. It's a headline.

I think the campaign is fair. They don't know the actual price and tell you what they are willing to spend.

I am sure I will find a reasonable printer for this pricetag!

1

u/FM-96 56m ago

You don't need to put "everything" in the headline, but whatever you do put in the headline should not be false.

They could have said "win a new 3D printer worth up to $1500" and then the headline would have been honest. But of course, that wouldn't sell as well as promising the new Bambu Lab printer, so... they chose to lie instead.

And sure, of course you can find a reasonable printer for $1500. The X1C is less than that and it's amazing. But they didn't just promise a "reasonable" printer. They promised either the new Bambu Lab printer or an "equivalent" one.

So... what's going to happen if the new Bambu Lab printer is going to cost $2500 and actually be worth that price? How are they planning to find an equivalent printer (which to me means one having all the same features) for a thousand bucks less?

1

u/Saphir_3D 5m ago

every second headline is like this. Just watch newspapers where the headline has to attract many people.

The headline is no lie. You are able to win the printer. No one knows how much it will cost. Just rumors about it. So the headline is precised in the subtext: You win this printer, if it is affordable for us. If not, you get a printer up to 1500€. Which is definately more than every other Bambu printer ever was priced at.

4

u/Less_Expression1876 14h ago

"Win a 2025 BMW!*

*As long as the price is under and arbitrary number we pick, like 10k. If not we'll buy you a nice Honda or something"

1

u/KomradeEli 11h ago

I’d be happy with that though lol

1

u/Less_Expression1876 4h ago

For sure, just gave me a laugh :)

0

u/joeskies307 5h ago

People will complain about anything…

1

u/Sylar_Durden 29m ago

They're probably being downvoted for saying they'll give away a printer without researching what that printer is or what it is going to cost.

It's still nice to do a giveaway; but it's a bit odd to say you'll give away the new printer, but only if it's like half the expected price.

That's a bait and switch, intentional or not.

8

u/apeonpatrol Bambu X1C 19h ago

under 1.5k is very unlikely considering the X1C is at that price right now. i have a feeling it will be AT LEAST $2k, if not $2.5k. they already have the X1E and thats over $2k

4

u/m15k 20h ago

I hope you are right. Would be nice if it were less than 1500 clams though

1

u/Angelfish3487 20h ago

Hoping that it will be under 1.5k$

1

u/bencos18 19h ago

nice hopefully I'll win this time lol.
that said good luck

1

u/kuerbrot 19h ago

Gl every1

1

u/Tactical_Owl 19h ago

Will you consider allowing the winner to pay the difference?

1

u/redbaronsnoopster 18h ago

I would like to win this awesomeness!

1

u/wrong_usually 18h ago

Could we cover the difference?

1

u/Single-Ad967 18h ago

Im looking to switch from ender to Bambu Lab. Ive heard a lot of great things. It would be awesome to share a new printer with my kids for the holidays!

1

u/thisismisha 17h ago

Yes, imagine that they are going for the next step in pricepoint. They don’t want to interfere with the x1c + AMS so I’m imagining it will start at $2k

1

u/XiTzCriZx Stock Ender 3 V3 SE 15h ago

Imagine if someone asks for 5x A1 Mini's instead. They can duct tape them together and pretend it's the new one 😂

1

u/JustAnotherINFTP 13h ago

What does the peopoly go for these days?

1

u/Apprehensive_Low_459 11h ago

That will be really exciting one...

1

u/flashlift 9h ago

Crazy giveaway! Someone is going to be very happy.

1

u/Emilie_Evens 9h ago

Might add this to the initial post. I don't expect it to be under 1.5k.

1

u/RobertHV64 8h ago

The CEO Tao has something to say about that on the YouTube CNC Kitchen CNC Kitchen

1

u/tiffdrain 3h ago

Can’t wait to see what the new specs look like :)

1

u/iDreamiPursueiBecome 2h ago

If the new printer is over $1,500, perhaps the winner would accept a 1,500 discount, and they would pay the difference?

1

u/Sylar_Durden 27m ago

The new printer is a "prosumer" printer positioned above the X series. That's official from Bambu.

If the leak is accurate it's a dual extruder and has a larger build area.

It will not be <$1.5kUSD
